IMED 2016 – GET INVOLVED (September 2016)

Email us at info@cimethics.org to join IMED 2016 in your area next September!

IMED workshops materials are available for download here.

What is Internet & Media Ethics Day (IMED)?

The aim of the IMED is to mobilize media professionals around the world to discuss technology & media ethics, examine case studies, and participate in role-plays and debates related to the various ethical dilemmas they might expect to face in media-related activities. From the first IMED in 2011 with only 300 participants from 11 countries, the event has grown to a popular worldwide initiative with 1,000 participants from more than 50 countries in 2015.

In 2016 you can join too! We invite you to celebrate IMED 2015 in your own way in your area. Here’s how:

  • invite a few colleagues to gather together for 1-2 hours sometime in the last week of September
  • download our discussion materials here (see “workshops template”)
  • discuss and celebrate media ethics!
  • also, check our website or email us (info@cimethics.org) for local CIME contacts in your area
