Organization: Center for International Media Ethics CIME (www.cimethics.org) CIME is a registered 501 (c) (3) organization based in Chicago and operating across the world. It is the first formal international framework to implement practical solutions to the ethical challenges faced by journalists everywhere. This internship is a unique opportunity to build contacts with a network of journalists and media-related organizations internationally.
Position: As a public relations region intern, you will be responsible for representing CIME in your geographical area. Your assignment will include:
- Identifying and contacting relevant people organizations with whom we might partner;
- Attending relevant events in your area to meet media professionals and tell them about CIME;
- You will be working on average 1 day a week from any location and will touch base weekly with CIME headquarters;
- Academic credit may be possible and a good learning experience is guaranteed.
Qualifications: Current student or recent graduate; Pleasant and business-like presence; Comfortable in an international setting and/or with calling and writing people around the world; Comfortable with the Microsoft Office suite of products; Must be organized; Must have own computer; More than one language is desirable but not necessary.
